Spoiler alert…no let up from me now!
One of the much needed changes that I am passionate about is the availability (and acceptance) of alcohol removed beverages (ARBS) that one can enjoy at home and in public venues such as pubs, clubs, restaurants etc etc.
I am not meaning sugary, cloying mocktails per se, but actual alcohol removed wines, ciders, beers and (now) spirits.
By ensuring that these ARBS are made widely available, then it’s only natural that there will be reduction in self consciousness on both sides – it means that we as non imbibers can now feel part of “the social crowd”, enjoying a “fav tipple” and toasting with the best of them.
After much research and tastings, I now have found a most appealing alcohol removed Chardonnay that allows me to continue a normalised life.
Our government should be encouraged to provide funding, following in the footsteps of the Brits, to individuals like myself (remember by No Booze No Worries Workshops!!!) to promote the health benefits of consumption of ARBS.
Part of my workshop ethos is to educate those in the Hospitality Industry about what alternative alcohol removed products are available in the market, and how they can be introduced to the consumer.
I am so grateful to the many Hoteliers, Restaurateurs etc that have allowed me to bring my (said) “fav tipple” to their businesses and I commend them on their generosity! Hey…a special plug for Billy, Ren, Sophie, Paul et al @ Salsa…you guys rock!
Oh yeah…don’t forget to vote for me on “Pick My Project”…yay.
